go green tips for students
How does the new name change working with the application for a green card?

I came to the U.S. with a student visa and got married a U.S. citizen a few months ago. With the student visa, I had the opportunity to obtain a social security card to work with restrictions though. But now I'm sending my papers as soon as possible, do not know if I should submit all the forms with my maiden name or married name. I have not changed my name on the social security office. I tried, but they said they did not go through and I'll hear an explanation of what happened in 6 weeks (there is no guarantee that the name change has been accepted) … I can not wait that long, I have to send before the march is over. Advice appreciated! Thank you sooo much:)

I do not think you can change your name on the social security office until he is granted a green card because their status does not change, however, you marry citizens does not mean you automatically have permanent residence, and there is no need to submit with your form, you just need a marriage certificate, the forms ( single from his post in the form to ask) the name otherwise married last interview with the INS, and to maintain the same social security number.
