Going Green Products Environmentally Friendly

How to keep a wedding ‘green’ yet inexpensive?
My fiance and I would like our wedding to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Recyclable products, organic foods and flowers, etc. However, every time I research the prices (especially for foods and flowers) the number skyrockets.
Though his parents can afford to pay a wedding 5x as expensive as the one we want, we’re not willing to go over our small budget we’ve set for ourselves. (7-8k)
Anyone know how to cut corners while being ‘green?’ Or of any environmental-friendly deals?
Here are some ideas:

Some other ideas:
— Have a daytime wedding, outdoors when possible.
— Choose recycled paper for invitations and place cards.
— Serve organic, locally grown food.
— Decorate with organic, locally grown flowers, fruits and veggies. Create smaller centerpieces. Choose potted plants rather than cut flowers. potted herbs are nice that guests can take home as well. http://www.barillaus.com/Home/PublishingImages/Gifts_3224498_big.jpg
— Seek out caterers who recycle materials and use linen and china instead of disposables. or biodegradable paper goods http://www.biodegradablestore.com/pp/plates/paper/pp_biodegradable_paper_plate_C_P.html
— Wear vintage clothes and jewelry, or choose “green” fibers like silk or organic cotton.
— Use candles.
— Go acoustic.
— Hire a hybrid limo, or a horse and buggy.
— Pick digital over film.
— Check out businesses that claim to provide green services and see if they really do; many new companies have entered the rapidly growing market.
— Pass it on: Show guests that an elegant event can also be light on the environment.
You could also take it back to the Hippie movement and make it vintage as well as green!
Have it at a park…have blankets or quilts on the ground for people to sit on, shoes optional. Fresh farmers market organic foods, breads and cheeses. Wine , sun tea, etc..
I think it would be refreshing!!
